Syafiq is a Singapore-based photographer whose work is driven by a deep belief that the most powerful images come from real moments. With over 15 years of experience behind the camera, he has developed a distinctive visual style that blends documentary storytelling with refined composition, capturing images that feel both authentic and cinematic.

As the Co-Founder of White Space Pictures, Syafiq plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s visual identity. He strategises and leads the photography department, guiding the creative direction of photography across commercial campaigns, broadcast productions, corporate events and branded content. Over the past 14 years with White Space Pictures, he has contributed to numerous visual campaigns, productions and key visuals, helping the company establish itself as a trusted production partner within Singapore’s media industry.
Outside of White Space Pictures, he is also the Founder and Photographer of Bliss Photo+Cinema, a studio he established in 2009. Through this platform, he has documented hundreds of weddings, life milestones and events, building a reputation for capturing moments that feel genuine, emotional and timeless.

Interestingly, Syafiq’s journey into visual storytelling was preceded by a brief chapter in education, where he served as a Geography Teacher under the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore. The experience sharpened his ability to connect with people, communicate ideas clearly and guide others — qualities that continue to influence his leadership style on productions and within creative teams.

Calm, confident and collected are qualities that colleagues often associate with Syafiq. Known affectionately as a true “Mr Nice Guy,” he brings a steady presence to every shoot, creating an environment where both clients and subjects feel comfortable in front of the camera. This ability to balance professionalism with warmth allows him to capture moments that feel natural, honest and deeply human.

Whether photographing large-scale productions or intimate personal moments, Syarfique approaches every frame with the same philosophy — great photography is not just about what we see, but what we feel.
